Dog Training
-
If you're struggling with a fearful reactive dog, I can help you understand their behavior and create a tailored training plan. By using positive reinforcement techniques, we build their confidence and reduce destructive behaviors. Together, we’ll work on socialization skills and coping strategies to ensure your dog feels safe and secure. Let’s transform their fear into trust, creating a happier environment for both of you.
-
Teaching new/useful behaviours like sit, stay, recall, loose lead walking, agility etc
-
Socialising a new puppy
-
1 to 1 sessions for general obedience and manners
-
Finding fun and exciting ways to keep your dog mentally and physically stimulated.
-
Every dog needs to learn to walk on a leash, there will be times when keeping your dog on a leash is for their own safety. Learn how to introduce your dog or puppy to the leash, then teach him how to walk properly on the leash. A loose leash walk teaches your dog not to pull or lunge when on the leash, making the experience more enjoyable for both you and your dog.

Below are some of the certifications that I have gained, since I started my journey.

What I do as a dog trainer
As a balanced dog trainer, I believe in using a thoughtful, individualized approach that focuses on clear communication, structure, and mutual respect between dog and handler. While I incorporate a range of techniques to meet each dog’s unique needs, I do not use prong collars, slip leads, shock collars, or any other aversive tools. My training is rooted in positive reinforcement and ethical practices that prioritize your dog’s physical and emotional well-being. The goal is to build lasting, reliable behavior through trust, consistency, and compassionate guidance.
Whether you want help to teach your dog new skills or useful behaviours such as general obedience and good manners, I offer my services in various settings, including your home, pavement walking, and the park.
My primary objective is to empower you to effectively train your canine companion.
I have successfully trained numerous dogs of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments, even those with significant challenges.
Statement Of Ethics
I like to impart positive and clear training advice that works realistically for that particular client and dog. Reward-based training is my main style alongside clear body language and effective boundaries. I do not condone the use of dominance-based alpha-handling which is out-dated and unethical. You can be strict without being forceful, and you can have boundaries without being abusive. Positive reinforcement training does not just mean the dog can do what they want when they want; this is a common misconception. It is about being rewarded for a good job whilst developing a solid relationship built on good communication and trust. Consequences are a natural part of life and training, but I only choose ethical consequences. Rewards are not bribery in the same way that punishment isn't respect.
My ideal clientele are those who want to work WITH their dog, not against them, to understand their behaviour and emotions and to truly address the deeper issues causing the problem. This normally means that overnight fixes don't happen, regardless of what TikTok or Channel 4 has you believe. Commitment and consistency in between sessions and after they are finished are what will garner results. I relate this often to weight loss - diet pills you see on TV don't work, only hard work and dedication does. If humans get 18 years at the very minimum to become a knowledgeable member of society, why do we expect our dogs to do this in 6 weeks?"
If you need help with your dog and you are willing to employ patience and dedication towards your dog in the same way you would help a child with anxiety or a friend through trauma or a student through college, I'm the trainer for you."
